How I can help.
As a postnatal doula I support families from as early as desired after the birth, and for as long as you feel you need me. I work with each family in an individualised way to suit their specific needs. My approach is flexible, holistic and compassionate. This time is all about providing nurture and care to the mother and new family, helping to make this transitional time as easeful as possible. My services include:
Taking care of your baby, changing nappies, bathing, sleeping, soothing whilst you have a nap or take time for yourself.
Cooking fresh, nourishing meals specifically designed to help with postpartum recovery and restoration for you and your family.
Providing a non-judgemental listening ear.
Supporting the creation of a harmonious, peaceful and secure environment for the whole family to thrive in.
Massage- both for you and the baby!
I can guide you through gentle yoga sequences to regulate the nervous system, calm the mind and slowly build strength and flexibility in the body.
Preparing herbal teas, tinctures and infused oils that help with postpartum recovery, wound healing and lactation.
Support with feeding and sleeping choices.
Providing resources to help you to feel informed, listened to and encouraged. Should the need arise for services beyond the scope of those I provide, I offer access to an abundant and trusted web of practitioners (e.g. bodyworkers, acupuncturists, lactation consultants etc.)
Helping out with the day-to-day running of the household including light housework, shopping, and other errands.
Assisting with older siblings whilst you are with your baby.
Planning your postpartum with you, prior to the birth
Filling your freezer with nourishing meals, prior to the birth
Providing overnight care so you can catch up on sleep

“The postpartum is a unique period of transition in a woman’s life. In just a few weeks as she recovers her strength and learns how to mother her new baby, a woman’s body and mind undergo changes of unparalleled intensity. She enters a rite of passage which literally changes who she is.”
